Since this was on my list and I recieved a comment posted to my Airwolf entry about it, I figured might as well get it posted. Street Hawk was a short lived television series from the 80’s about police officer Jessie Mach (Rex Smith) who is chosen for the top secret government project “Street Hawk”…an advance motorcycle prototype with various non-lethal weapons.

The scientist/mechanic/sidekick of the show was Norman Tuttle (Joe Regalbuto), who not only designed the Street Hawk motorcycle, but was in charge of the project as well. Each episode would consist of Jessie cruising the darkened streets of L.A. while Norman provided radio guidance and support.

Street Hawk never did very well, lasting just one season of 11 episodes. I think many people were watching Knight Rider and this seemed a bit to similar at first glance. I actually liked Street Hawk more than the idea of a talking indestructable car personally.
