Equilibrium – One of the best sci-fi movies

I’ve mentioned it before, but if you haven’t seen Equilibrium then you should definately go check it out. I actually bought this movie for like $6 or something and I’ve seen it about 4 times.

It’s the story of a cop (Christian Bale – Batman Begins) in a drug controlled world where all emotions are supressed. Think shades of Blade Runner. It also has one of the highest body count tallies in the movies with an impressive 236 (Cleric John Preston’s total: 118). It’s a good movie, good story, and quite well done. It didn’t get much press and I think it was snubbed a bit.

I remember thinking it was “B-movie” night and I put it in to watch. Ten minutes in and was thinking “holy crap this is cool.”
