I actually read about this some time ago, but forgot to share it. If you haven’t played any of the Hitman series of games, you’re missing out on some good stuff. In the games you play Agent 47, a clone with a shadowed past that is an assassin. You use various weapons, tactics, and disguises to get to your intended target and eliminate them.

The Hitman movie will be starring Timothy Olyphant (from Deadwood and the upcoming Die Hard 4) as Agent 47 and is being filmed in Bulgaria, St. Petersburg, London, and various places of South Africa. Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II) will be in it as well as one of my recent favorites, Robert Knepper (Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell of Prison Break).
The game’s story centers around an international assassin known only as Agent 47 (Olyphant) who works for a mysterious organization dubbed the Agency. The Hitman videogames have sold in excess of 6 million units worldwide, with the most recent instalment, Hitman: Blood Money™ selling 1.4 million units worldwide and reaching No.1 in all key territories.
The movie is being directed by Xavier Gens from a screenplay by Skip Woods (Swordfish) and produced by Luc Besson, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Adrian Askarieh and Charles Gordon with Daniel Alter as a co-producer.
I’m looking forward to seeing the first pictures and the trailer, although I still say Jason Statham would have been the best.
