Now this is pretty amazing. CBS decided to give Jericho another seven episodes.

“Wow!” Tassler wrote. “Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime-time television series. You got our attention; your e-mails and collective voice have been heard. As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of Jericho for mid-season next year.”

Tassler added that the show, about the residents of a small Kansas town who struggle to survive in the wake of a nuclear disaster, would still need to bring in viewers. “A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show,” she said. “But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available. We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks.”

That’s damn impressive, but where were all you people when Firefly or Farscape got the axe? Those were two fantastic shows and the one everyone supports is Jericho? What is this world coming to? Anyone hear of the Fox show Drive? That one needs some support too dammit! Get off your ass and sign it. I’ll love you forever…I promise.
