The Highwayman

The Highwayman was some bizzaro cross between the Road Warrior and Knight Rider. It starred Sam Jones as one of the mysterious U.S. Marshals fight crimes and solve mysteries in a strange post-apocalyptic future. Each Highwayman had their own hi-tech, multi-functioned semi truck that concealed a black helicopter and a black futuristic sports car.

“There is a world, just beyond now, where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility; where the laws of the present collide with the crimes of tomorrow. Patrolling these vast outlands is a new breed of lawman, guarding the fringes of society’s frontiers, they are known simply as “Highwaymen”… and this is their story…”

It was a crazy show that ran from 1987 to 1988 and lasted 10 episodes. I remember watching it, but it was too much of a clone idea for me. It’s funny how back then we had so many shows that involved being a truckdriver. You never see that stuff anymore.
