CW’s Reaper Television Trailer

Last night I watched the pilot episode of Reaper, which was directed by Kevin Smith (Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy) and I definately liked it. Slacker Sam has no pressure ever from his parents and he finds out it’s because they sold his soul to the devil, who comes to collect on his 21st birthday.

The devil wants Sam to be his bounty hunter (hence the name Reaper), returning escaped souls back to Hell. With the help of his nutty friends, it’s a wild and fun time. The show has that Smallville type formula, setting things up for a super-powered badguy each week, but still…look at the success Smallville has had.
