The New Wonder Woman is Teresa Palmer?

Friday, October 26, 2007

It seems that one of the first roles cast for George Miller’s Justice League could be set. Rumors are swirling that Aussie Teresa Palmer has landed the role of Wonder Woman.

Miller had the lead role in the drama 2:37 and starred in The Grudge 2 opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Beals.

The director of one of Actress Teresa Palmer’s most recent movies dropped us a line to say the foxy blonde starlet has won the much coveted part of Wonder Woman in George Miller’s “Justice League”.

Palmer was one of a handful of actresses - including Minka Kelly and Mary Elizabeth Winstead - who tested for the part a week ago, with both studio and director reportedly crushin’ over the “December Boys” star’s audition.

She definately looks the part, but I wonder how this will now affect the rest of the casting. Speculation has been wild about who could be cast, so is this a first sign that a bunch of new faces will be in the mix? Personally I’m still hoping that Tom Welling will get the role of Supeman. In my mind he absolutely deserves it.

Are you drunk? No way does she look the part. Wonder Woman isn’t meant to be some anorexic 14-year-old Aryan cheerleader!

Lynda Carter wasn’t all that Amazonian either and yet she played the part well.
