Now this was an interesting thing to run across. William Hurt had an interview with MTV about his role as General Thaddeus Ross in The Incredible Hulk and he spoke out about Richard Downey Jr. AKA: Iron Man being in the movie. It looks like Marvel is finally giving us cross-overs. Sweet!
“I have a scene with Iron Man, with Robert Downey Jr.,” the Oscar-winning actor told MTV News Friday at the Sundance Film Festival. “It’s a funky scene.”
We’re going to see Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury in Iron Man and now this. I actually really like the whole idea. If the Justice League was planned with Superman (Routh) and Batman (Bale)…I think it would be a much bigger box office smash.
“I don’t know how it’ll work,” Hurt admitted, saying it was a thrill to appear as General Thaddeus Ross during Downey’s scene. “I know it’s weird [to work with a character from another movie], and to know it’s a device. We did something; I don’t know what that’s going to be like [to watch].”
You can go check out more of the interview. There’s definitely some great stuff to read.
