Land of the Lost Remake

So Universal is going to remake the old Sid & Marty Croft show into a movie. Land of the Lost will star Will Ferrell (Marshall), Danny McBride (Will) and Anna Friel (Holly) as the trio that gets lost and trapped in a world with dinosaurs and lizard-men. Their only friend is the monkey-like Cha-ka played by Jorma Taccone. If I remember right, he could only say one word for everything…cha-ka.

Brad Silberling (LEMONY SNICKET) will direct the film, taking over for Adam McKay who had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict with STEP BROTHERS. As you might suspect, the film will follow the basic premise of the series with Ferrell starring as has-been scientist Rick Marshall who was sucked into a space vortex into an odd world with only his assistant Holly and a redneck survivalist (McBride) to assist him.

Maybe they’ll also make Shazam, Bigfoot & Wildboy or even Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Now that would be cool.
