Bruno Filming in Kansas?

Sasha Baron Cohen is probably up to his old tricks only this time using his character Bruno. He actually had to retire Borat because that character is now too well known. I think his Ali G character is about the same, but is my favorite of the three. Anyway…

Kansas is all abuzz with news that a film crew is roaming around claiming to be shooting a documentary about “American culture”, when they’re actually shooting a “Borat-like prank”.

Luckily for the upcoming Bruno movie, there aren’t many local journalists who get HBO or who’ve watched a movie in the last 20 years.

I thought this report was pretty funny.

Airport officials thought they were doing a film crew a favor by letting them film a “European man” visiting America.

But when the crew stripped down to their tight short shorts and began dancing in the lobby of Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport, the terminal crew knew they had been duped.

Brad Christopher, assistant director of airport operations, said airport police couldn’t find anything illegal about it.

But, he said, airport officials are re-writing their policies regarding commercial filming at the airport to prevent pranks in the future.

It does sound like Bruno stuff to me. Bruno is a fictional reporter for some Austrian Gay TV channel and usually makes homophobic dudes really, really uncomfortable.
