Uwe Boll Needs to be Stopped

This crazy German director Uwe Boll is now thinking that he should make a movie for Grand Theft Auto. I’ve already posted about the petition to stop him from directing (he said he would if it got 1 million signatures) over on Geekscribe and I’ve also seen a couple of his horribly bad, bad movies. He’s really like the American Idol audition who thinks he’s so great and destined to be a star and yet everyone around him knows he’s terrible.

“Grand Theft Auto would be super interesting for me, and I think I would actually be the right guy to do it, because my movies are all bloody and violent and I don’t have a problem with action scenes,” said the director. “But they will go in the end with a Michael Bay or a Brett Ratner and it will be a PG-13 movie made for $150 million. I think it would be better to make a $30 million, very hard, brutal movie without compromising, but I’m not optimistic.”

This statement proves he’s an idiot. Rockstar made $500 million in the first week on this game. The game itself probably cost $50 million to even create. Why would they make a crappy movie and lower their name in the mud? Now there in a position to simply launch another GTA title and they’ll make a fortune just due to the stellar track record.

This guy is such a tool.
