Here is my review of Kung Fu Panda:  It’s awesome.  The movie concerns a panda (Jack Black) picked accidentally to be The Dragon Warrior, or something like that.  He has to defend the town from an angry Kung Fu master who has just escaped from prison.  The movie is all about accepting yourself for who you are.  Oh, and also about making some really good soup.

I thought the whole movie was spot on.  It’s funny, gorgeously animated, and moves at a steady clip.  All the voice work is excellent, especially Jack Black who has had a tendency to annoy me in past roles.

While this is a family movie, it may be a bit violent for young children…  there are a lot of fight scenes.  That said, older kids, and kids at heart will eat this movie up along with their buttered popcorn.

Total Rating: ★★★★½

Stick around through the credits.  They tell a little bit about what happens beyond the movie.  Also there is a very touching, but short bit after the credits are done… in other words, there is a SECRET ENDING to KUNG FU PANDA!  I know, not as exciting as the secret ending to Iron Man.  But there you go.
