You should check out the DoorPost Film Project. Fifteen finalists have been chosen, and it is up to you to pick the best short film. This year the topic is about hope, and that is what each film is about.

My sister and her boyfriend have a film up for consideration. It’s called The Dark Horse. That’s him above, Tom Martin. You may have seen him in commercials before. He has been in Go! Meat!, Budweiser, Sirius Radio, and other commercials.

And below is my sister, Holly Persell! They both did a great job, I’d say, and the movie is excellent. Of course, I can honestly say this without bias.

Bill Cobbs also stars in it. He’s a guy who you won’t remember until you see his face and hear his voice. Most recently he was in “Night at the Museum” as a security guard.

You do have to register (painless and quick) and watch all the movies before you can vote on one. Some of the films are a bit dark. The Dark Horse is suitable for most families. Supraman & The School of Necessity, Charlie Thistle, and Red all got thumbs up from my sister as being suitable for kids. However, to be safe you may want to pre-screen all films for content.

I do hope you check out this project. It is fun and you might help someone win the big prize. $150,000 in total will be awarded to the top three films. The contest runs until September 10th.
