Spider-Man 4 and 5 News and Rumors

First some news: Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire will be returning in Spider-Man 4 and 5. They signed on recently. There isn’t any news if Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane. Raimi indicated that production is set to begin in March of 2010. Which means that we have a long wait for the next Spidey flick. Currently, the major issue holding everything back is the lack of a script. Sony is in the process of casting a villain.
OK, now some Spider-Man 4 and 5 Rumors. These are from multiple sources.
1) Both movies will be shot at the same time (like Lord of the Rings and Pirates movies). This is good if it is more like the Rings movies, and bad if it is more like the 2nd and 3rd Pirates. I thought those were a let down.
2) Dr. Curt Connors will be the main villain. He will become the Lizard. I find this a bit hard to believe if the above story is true. Sony wouldn’t bother casting for the villain. Curt Connors has been in the first three movies, and has been played by Dylan Baker.
3) The Vulture will make an appearance. This seems unlikely as well. Two of the first three movies have had green flying foes in them. Why do it again?
4) Carnage will be the bad guy and will be played by none other than Jim Carey. Ewwww! I hope not. Carey is too flashy and over-the-top as an actor. He is just too “cartoony” for my tastes.
5) Man Wolf will be one of the bad guys. Of course, John Jameson (Man-Wolf /Stargod) is the son of J Jonah Jameson. Click Here for his bio. John has already made an appearance in the movies.
I hope that Sony takes a big step back and takes a clue from the recent Batman movies from here on out. They should even look at Iron Man. They were such awesome movies because they took the source material seriously. They worked because they went for story and character and believability over all else. I for one would love to see Mysterio, Chameleon, or even more recent baddies like Freak. Heck, even though it would never happen due to Sandman being in the last movie, why not Hydro-man?

I for 1 am pushing for the use of Mysterio as the main villian in the next film. I think he will translate wonderfully to the big screen and take full advantage of special effects and CGI.
Im a fan of Mysterio and I think his story would be great for a one time deal, meaning they could kill him off at the end of the movie.
He would be a refreshing change as a villian that inst so much of a threat physicaly like the others have been, instead he challenges Spideys senses intelligence and judgement, using mind tricks and such.
Also it would prevent the movie from becoming overly violent( like SM3 was close to being ) so that kids can still watch.

i would like to see electro or the sinester 6. just think how great the special effects will be with electro/sinester 6. the story was already set up in the last movie. 1 sandman is still alive. 2 a newspaper on the office wall of jjj said doc ock still at large, 3 osbourn’s are both gone so someone can break into there penthouse and find the goblin weapons, then you have hobbgoblin, add electro and 2 others and you have 2 movies.
