Kyle XY Season 2 Out Now On DVD

I was excited to see that Kyle XY Season 2 is finally on store shelves.  My wife and I got really into the first season on DVD and have been anxiously awaiting the second season.  If you are looking for a great sci-fi drama, this is the one.   If you have never heard of the show, it’s about a teenager who wakes up near Seattle in the woods (anyone who lives in Seattle would know this is sci-fi… there aren’t really any woods left).  The boy has amnesia, and wanders into the city, where he is picked up and put into a mental institution.  He is very nice, but has some strange quirks including the fact that he has no belly button.  Oh, and he has some super powers, too.  So, he ends up getting placed in a family.  They all have adventures together, and try and figure out what happened to Kyle.

The show has some discussion about sex, some violence, etc.  However, we really like it in that the parents always talk with the kids about what is going on.  It’s an ABC (Disney) show, so has a lot of good family values in it.  Plus, most of the acting is great.  It’s a little like the show Smallville, now that I think about it.  Except so far, I have found it more interesting (it’s nice having only one character have amnesia, for one thing.  And everyone doesn’t end up in the hospital every episode).

So pick it up today!  You’ll be glad you did.
