Actress Tara Reid is in the midst of an internet war of petitions regarding a new Nightmare on Elm Street movie. First there was a petition for her to star in the movie that currently has 1300+ signatures.

We feel young hollywood actress Tara Reid deserves a role in the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street. She is a very talented and intelligent actor, we feel a a major role, in a major film will help revive her acting career. We feel she would be a truly great addition to the cast. Please truly consider her for a part, and check out how many people would love to see her in you’re film.

Now there’s another one that’s been made to try and make sure she’s not in the film.

After starring in ALONE IN THE DARK back in 2005, we feel that her career has gone south and her presence would not only hurt the quality, but the success of the film - which would hurt the horror genre in the long run. I really heart Katee Sackhoff. Except for that crappy sci-fi movie she did awhile ago that I saw. It was so bad that my eyes wanted to bleed. Actually she was great. It was the rest of the movie that sucked. Anyway, I’m so totally impressed with her that I really want to see her continue on to bigger and better roles. She’s awesome.

Remember when I mentioned that Katherine Heigl took her name out of the running for the Emmy Awards this year? She said that she didn’t feel she was “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.” I believe I mentioned that this wasn’t going to go over well and it hasn’t. Today the New York Magazine has an open letter to Katherine. Here’s a bit of it:

And now you’ve started a fight with the writers of Grey’s Anatomy. Their feelings are hurt, Katie: “It’s an ungrateful slap in the face,” one show insider told EW. You actually won the Emmy for supporting actress last year, which was really so lovely for you. So why, this year, are you so sure your material doesn’t even warrant a nomination? Let’s think.

Okay, Heigl, we agree that Izzie’s story lines have become increasingly marginal and unbelievable. Lately, everyone on the show seems to think that Izzie’s completely irritating. So do we! We actually groan aloud when your perky face appears onscreen! There’s a theory we have about this, Katherine, so listen closely. Have you ever thought that maybe the writers are incorporating your own personality into that of your character? Because we read a lot of women’s magazine and gossip sites, and we think we kind of know you at this point. And guess what? You’re totally annoying and self-righteous, just like Izzie!

Now I have to mention here that for the lest few seasons, she’s been the greatest thing on that show for me. Sure the highlight was when she stripped to her bra and panties in the locker room to prove a point about her body, but never mind that for a second. I too thought she was really annoying this season. I want the really sexy, Izzie of the first couple season back dammit!

Anyway, here’s more:

And then (and then!) you called your own hit movie, Knocked Up, “a little sexist.” You have a right to your opinion, and we might even agree with you. But you were Apatow’s first choice for that movie, you did it, you made lots of money, and it made you a certified movie star. What possessed you to bash it? So I wonder what’s going to happen on Grey’s Anatomy now? Will Dr. Izzie Stevens run away to got be with. Dr. Washington? Time will tell.

Katherine Heigl won and Emmy last year for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens in Grey’s Anatomy, but this year she’s turned down even putting her name in the hat.

“I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization” decided against competing, Heigl said in a written statement provided by her publicist, Melissa Kates, who was contacted by the AP.

“In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials,” added Heigl. She plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy,” which slipped in the ratings this past season but remained a top 10 show.

I wonder what she’s saying here? Is she saying the writers  totally shafted her character in the show? That’s not going to go over well. This is just one of those interesting things that we’ll have to see what happens from the fallout.

Yes I know these pictures of Michelle Ryan are a couple years old, but I don’t care. Why did they have to go and cancel Bionic Woman? That’s just criminal. We love Laura Vandevoort in Smallville as Kara Kent aka: Supergirl, but we’re also going to get to see Laura in Into the Blue 2 which she’s busy filming right now in Hawaii (people are saying it’s called The Reef). I have no idea what the movie is about at all except that it’s going have Laura Vandervoort in a bikini so I’m sold. That’s got potential blockbuster all over it. It’s like the original movie Into the Blue that had Jessica Alba in a bikini. I’m thinking they found the perfect person for a sequel.
