Tale of Despereaux is yet another animated movie coming out starring a mouse. The poster looks cool and who am I kidding? I’ll probably see it. I’m a sucker for cute mice movies.

If you want to write to the creators of Avatar The Last Airbender to ask that they do a book 4, here is how to do it. 

Don’t expect them to reply, though!  Also, please don’t visit the studio and expect to see them… I’m sure you wouldn’t do it, but just in case, I thought it would be best to tell you that they have some very nice men with big sticks who probably work there.

There’s really not much happening today and I haven’t had a lot of posting time, so I thought I’d toss up this cute poster for the new Disny/Pixar movie Wall-E. In this one the little guy is trying to figure out the mysterious bra. I’m a sucker for these animated movies and Wall-E is the top of my list to see followed by the equally impressive looking Space Chimps.

I can’t wait.

After seeing the poster for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, I think kids everywhere are going to want to see the further adventures of this crazy group. Ben Stiller is a lion? That’s funny just by itself.

The more I see of Dusney/Pixar’s new movie Wall-E , the more I’m hooked on seeing it. I mean…taking the kids to see it of course. I’m not going to enjoy it at all. Oh no. I’m certainly open to seeing what new adventures The Clone Wars is going to offer for the Star Wars universe and of course it’s really all about watching some more really cool lightsaber battles. Check out this preview and enjoy!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Trailer

This poster for Star Wars: The Clone Wars is confusing because I thought it’s a new television show and yet it says it will be in theaters August 15th. I think I missed something like the first episode will be a big screen movie. If anyone can answer that for me then feel free to post. besides that part, it looks damn awesome!

This weekend I had rented Appleseed Ex-Machina for my daughter who really wanted to see it. I had seen a couple previews for it and although I’m not really into anime that much, decided to check it out. It turned out to be a very good decision on my part because this was an excellent movie.

Based on the manga of creator Shirow Masamune and directed by Shinji Aramaki, this movie also had significant input from producer John Woo (a name you should know.) The movie takes place in a rebuild futuristic city called Olympus long after a great nuclear war has ravaged the earth. When cyborg terrorist, deadly nanotech viruses, and rioting citizens start gitting the city, the famed E.S.W.A.T. unit must fight to save it.

While this movie was not tradition anime, but rather computer-generated anime…it was still top notch. It was some of the best animation I’ve ever seen and the action was just classic John Woo. I’d say rent it for sure and if your a fan then it’s definitely worth a purchase.
