We didn’t get to see enough of Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino together in Heat, so hopefully Righteous Kill will make up for that fact. This trailer looks pretty good and I have no doubt I’ll be seeing this movie. Check it out.

I loved the move Training Day and Street Kings looks like it has that same vibe, which is probably because director David Ayer also wrote Training Day and also did the screenplays for some other movies I like, S.W.A.T., U-571, The Fast and the Furious (it was alright…admit it). He also wrote and directed Harsh Times starring Christian Bale that was about a cop that was wrapped up in the thug street culture. This quote from Street Kings says it all.

“We’re the police. We can do whatever the hell we want”

I really like the Street Kings poster. I guess it’s just the overall style of it that really appeals to me. The movie is about a veteran LAPD cop (Whoa! Guess who?) having trouble dealing with the death of his wife. After some evidence shows up to implicate him in the killing of another office, he is forced to question everything and everyone around him.

The Bank Job is based on a case in 1971, when crooks tunneled into the vault of a bank in London’s Baker Street and then clean out the safe deposit boxes of all the cash and jewelry. The heist was worth over three million pounds and none of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested for the crime either, which made headlines and then disappeared from the press. Goody!

The story follows Jake Green (Statham) who’s a con man that just got out after a seven-year sentence. His first order of business is got get even with Dorothy Macha (Ray Liotta) for putting him behind bars. After getting humiliated, Macha sends hit men to kill Jake. Extreme ugliness follows

We Own The Night has an amazing cast that’s sure to garner up some buzz during awards time. The incredible Robert Duvall, Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix, and Eva Mendes. Phoenix plays a New York nightclub manager who tries to save cop brother (Wahlberg) and father (Duvall) from Russian mafia hit men.

The film opens on October 12.

Death Sentence is really just an updated version of the Death Wish movies starring Charles Bronson. In each movie someone close to Bronson was wronged and the law couldn’t protect them. He buys guns and becomes a vigilante.

This is exactly the same.
