Recount and Street Kings seem like pretty good offerings for this week’s DVD releases, although I really know very little about either of them. The previews I’ve seen for Street Kings just has that Training Day vibe to it though, so I’ll probably like it. People knock Keanu for his acting ability (or lack thereof) but I’ll admit that I actually like the guy.

Now, a quick side note that if you didn’t see the very awesome Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last season on FOX, then now is your chance. It was absolutely excellent and probably one of the few series from television that was actually worth buying the DVD set.
- 6 Films To Keep You Awake
- An American Crime
- Camp Rock
- Deal
- Dexter: The Second Season
- George of the Jungle: The Swingin’ 1st Season
- Gossip Girl: The Complete First Season
- Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds
- House: Season Four
- The Life Before Her Eyes
- Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
- Prom Night

I was expecting something pure trash. I was delighted to find a really cool movie. It's 28 Days meets Road Warrior. The special effects were excellent. A worthy rental. - John

As spoof movies go, this was one of the best I've seen. Maybe it's because I'm a comic nut, but I liked it a lot. - John

This week doesn’t have anything that I would term as “must see” so it’s a good week to catch up on anything you might have missed. We do get treated to The Art of War II with Wesley Snipes and honestly, I really like him and I’m sure I’ll end up seeing it. I’m also intrigued by the movie Felon for some reason. It’s got an interesting description and has two good actors with Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer. It might suck, but I’ll risk it because I’ve watch The Saint like 500 times and I owe Val a break. Smart People just has a slew of great stars and is probably the gemstone of this week’s releases.
- American Mall
- The Art of War II: The Betrayal
- Belly 2: Millionaire Boyz Club
- Caroline in the City: The First Season
- CJ7
- Dave’s World: The First Season

Not a great week for DVDs, but I am looking forward to checking out Nim’s Island. For something so bad that it possibly will be good I think Starship Troopers 3: Marauder might be the golden ticket. The second movie sucked, but the first one is a classic.

New for this week is (and how could I avoid it?) Avatar, The Last Airbender: Book 3 Fire, Volume 4. It seems like this has been a hot topic lately so all you rabid fans can go have some happiness for a bit. I was a bit surprised that Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo is already out on DVD, which probably means it’s not that great. I’ll see it anyway though because I love those guys.

Finally, there’s a couple old-school flashback movies that some people might want to see for whatever reason. Lost Boys: The Tribe mainly to see the Frog Brothers back in action killing vampires and War Games: The Dead Code, which is an updated version/sequel to the original with Matthew Broderick.
- Avatar, The Last Airbender: Book 3 Fire, Volume 4

This week the top of the list to see would be The Bank Job with Jason Statham. I’ve heard it was a really great movie. Another movie that looks pretty good is Meet Bill, but maybe that’s because it’s got Jessica Alba in it. Finally, for the family there’s Penelope that has a bunch of great stars and sounds like a decent fairy tale about a girl with a pig nose.
- Asylum
- The Bank Job
- Birds of Prey: The Complete Series
