Defiance Poster

Defiance

Now this movie Defiance looks interesting simply because of Daniel Craig. I liked him in whatever Tomb Raider flick he was in, and then of course he impressed the hell out of me in Casino Royale. I’ve seen him in The Golden Compass and Invasion too, but I liked him both those times as well so I’m sure a WWII movie like this will be no exception. I really hope that next Bond movie comes out soon.

Quantum of Solace

You can check out the source link below some new photos online for the next James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. Here’s a brief blurb:

“He has his heart broken,” says Craig, who turned 40 during the shoot. “The love of his life is killed, and he finds out she’s not who she said she was. … He’s out for revenge. But he’s also out to find - and this is what the title is about - a ‘quantum of solace.’ Something has been taken away from him, and he’s out to get that back.”

I am so in for this one. Casino Royale is my favorite Bond movie now. It actually beat Goldfinger in my eyes, which was no small feat.

James Bond New Bond Movie Title: Quantum of Solace

Quantum Of Solace Cast

The next Bond movie is going to pick up right where Casino Royale left off, with James Bond having a “chat” with Mr. White. It’s been in production for a bit as Bond 22, but today it received it’s official title: Quantum of Solace.

I know it sounds dull and stupid, but remember…there’s no more James Bond books that haven’t been done already so that had to work hard to find the name. Quantum of Solace isn’t really that off the trail. It’s actually the title of a James Bond short story in an old collection of short stories done by Ian Fleming.

The movie will star (shown above) Mathieu Amalric, Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Craig and Gemma Arterton.

James Bond Bond 22 First Pictures

Bond 22

Some pictures of Daniel Craig filming the next James Bond movie (Bond 22 for the moment) have surfaced and since the last one Casine Royale was one one the greatest Bond movies of all time, I had to point this out to you.

Head over to Just Jared for a whole bunch of pictures showing Daniel Craig standing around in a suit. Hey, it’s still exciting since the movie is supposed to be out by November of this year. Sweet!

James Bond New Bond Girl Gemma Arterton Confirmed

Gemma Arterton

Looks like all the rumors I’d been hearing about Gemma Arterton being the new Bond girl are true. She has been cast for the next Bond flick with Daniel Craig, which starts filming in January.

The internet is currently abuzz with rumours that St Trinian’s actress Gemma Arterton will be the next Bond girl, as reported in several tabloids today. Though we’d encourage you not to believe anything everything you read in the red tops, Empire has learned from a source who’s in a position to be absolutely sure that this casting is 100% true.

What’s not absolutely certain yet is whether Arterton will be the main Bond girl, like Eva Green in Casino Royale, or one of the peripheral lovelies like Caterina Murino and that other one. But what we’re hearing suggests that she’ll be in a fairly major role.

Have a look at more of this relatively unknown actress who played a school girl in St. Trinian’s.

Movies Top Ten Movie Series Ever? Part Two

The other day, I listed my favorite movie series, 10-6. Today, numbers 5-1. What’s your favorite movie series? Did it make my list? See anything on here that you think should be changed? Let me know!

Lord of the Rings5) The Lord of the Rings: This series won 17 Oscars (according to one report I saw), among 30 nominations. So I would feel remiss for not having it on the list somewhere. However, did this series change your life even just a little bit? Oh sure, all of us weigh a lot less in the wallet having shelled out tickets for the theater and then again for each of the DVDs and maybe even the extended editions, but how many times have you seen all three? For me, it’s hard to find three and a half hours at a time to see even one of them, so the movies have a tendency to collect dust.

Since this series is so new we’ll have to wait to see its long term effect on our culture, which isn’t the case for the remaining entries on this list.

What I learned from these movies: A) What exactly a hobbit looks like, hairy feet in all. B) It is possible to have disgustingly long toe nails and still be appealing. Yay! There is hope for me after all!

Alien4) Alien: “In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream.” What can I say? The first and second were the best. Remember Bill Paxton’s nervous Marine? “That’s it, man! Game over man!” What bliss. Or Ripley’s line… I’m paraphrasing here… “Get away from her you large female puppy dog!”

Each movie in this growing series has brought new terrors to those of us who love them so. Remember Face Huggers? The Chest Bursters? What about the Dog Alien? Or the all out battle between the Aliens and the Predators in the most recent movie, AvP?
Even Alien3, considered by many to be the weakest of them all has a lot going for it. It was directed by David Fincher (Seven, The Game), for one thing. It’s actually quite a good movie and worth another look.

I would easily say that Alien and Aliens are modern classics in every sense of the word. With an alien designed by H.R. Giger and Sigourney Weaver in her panties, how could anyone go wrong?

What I learned from these movies: A) When an alien is very quickly picking off people one by one, NEVER EVER, EVER GO ANYWHERE ALONE. B) Read A again to yourself, and then aloud. Repeat. C) If slime starts dripping on you, it’s best not to whimper quietly. You’ll most likely be eaten. Instead, run very quickly away. Unfortunately, you’ll probably still be eaten. However, as everyone knows fast food is bad for you, the alien might think twice about it.
