This week doesn’t have anything that I would term as “must see” so it’s a good week to catch up on anything you might have missed. We do get treated to The Art of War II with Wesley Snipes and honestly, I really like him and I’m sure I’ll end up seeing it. I’m also intrigued by the movie Felon for some reason. It’s got an interesting description and has two good actors with Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer. It might suck, but I’ll risk it because I’ve watch The Saint like 500 times and I owe Val a break. Smart People just has a slew of great stars and is probably the gemstone of this week’s releases.

Felon looks mildly interesting.  It opens July 18th and concerns a home owner (Stephen Dorff) who accidentally kills a burglar.  He gets sent to prison for three years and is placed with a notorious killer (Val Kilmer - looks a lot different doesn’t he?  I hear he is a bit of a jerk in real life.  He sure is an amazing actor though).

In the trailer, below, there is an awful lot of fighting. I don’t normally mind fighting.  In fact, I really enjoy it if it is done right.  This looks more like ho hum fighting, which I hate.  I think I’ll rent it.  Maybe.
