This week the Japanese animated Batman: Gotham Knight comes out and I know there’s a big following that wants to get their Batman fix before Batman: The Dark Knight hits the screen. The clips I’ve see are very good and there is multiple animation styles that should be interesting.

Other good movies this week include the war drama Stop-Loss and the wacky, zany Superhero Movie. I have no idea why I want to see that movie, but I do. I really don’t know much about The Ruins or Sleepwalking, but they both look fairly decent.
- Batman: Gotham Knight
- Blood Brothers
- Fastlane: The Complete Series
- I Dream of Jeannie: The Complete Fifth Season
- Jake and the Fat Man: Season One, Volume One
- Journey to the Center of the Earth
- Monk: Season 6
- Psych: The Complete Second Season
- The Ruins
- Sleepwalking
- Stargate Atlantis: The Complete Fourth Season
- Stop-Loss
- Superhero Movie
- The Tracey Fragments
- WWE Nature Boy Ric Flair: The Definitive Coll.
- The X-Files: Revelations

This poster for Superhero Movie has Wolverine using his claws to roast marshmallows! Professor X’s helmet is one of those double-sipper hats and Storm is zapping his crotch! Pam Anderson’s breasts are the “Dyanamic Duo” and Dragonfly has his, ummm…thingy in the popcorn! Gags-a-plenty!

The filming of Superhero Movie is in full swing. It’s the latest movie parody from the same crew that did Naked Gun and Airplane. Pam Anderson plays the Invisible Woman of the movie, and what comics geek doesn’t like a chick in a superhero costume?
Or perhaps it had something to do with Pam’s cleavage-redefining, Sue Storm-inspired outfit she barely wore that day - Pam’s first day of shooting, on what is sure to be a comedy that goes nicely with a double screening of Scary Movie. The makers of the hit Scary Movie franchise are behind the latest installment of pop-culture parodies, this time setting their sights on the world and tropes of superhero films, everything from Spider-Man to Batman Begins. The comic-book movie genre is ripe for some fun poked at its expense, and who better to do it than the creators of Ted Stryker and Frank Drebbin, and stars such as the aforementioned Ms. Anderson and 30 Rock’s Tracy Morgan?

Pam certainly fills out a Fantastic Four type of suit nicely. Almost makes me hot like a Human Torch and my Thing rock hard. I’m Mr. Fantastic.
Note: I didn’t want to put those lame comic book jokes in, but it’s about a parody movie and my inner geek made me do it.

Of course Superhero Movie looks funny and also stupid at the same time. It’s Scary Movie meets Spider-Man, but that just make the appeal greater for some people. I’m always amazed they still make those movies and then I rent one and end up laughing. Go figure.

There have been a lot of superhero movies getting restarted lately. There is a new Hulk on the way, and Iron Man too. Recently, Batman got restarted, Spiderman and Superman also got going. There are still a lot of superheros out there, though. What movie franchise would you like to see get a re-boot? I listed several below. Each left me with a bad feeling in my mouth last time it was in the theater (especially “Son of Mask. Yikes!)
By the way, I found the Robin picture on this website. It details a movie that the author claims is THE WORST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER MADE. After reading his description, I have to see it.
Which Superhero Movie Should Get a Re-Boot Next?
