This poster for X-Files: I Want To Believe uses the trademark “X” symbol only this time it’s in blood on the snow. I’ve seen a trailer and now this poster and they both had the snow motif going on. I’m thinking the new movie is going to have snow in it. But does it have aliens? That what I really want to see. Aliens dammit!

The new X-Files movie now has an name - The X-Files: I Want to Believe. If you were a fan of the show, you’d remember that Fox Mulder had that on a sign in his office in the FBI basement.

“It’s a natural title,” Carter said in a telephone interview Tuesday during a break from editing the film. “It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. I Want to Believe. It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”

I know the fans are going to be excited about this because it’s just another step out of the way for this movie to be in the theatres.

Well, the X-Files 2 is finally close! The teaser trailer for the X-Files 2 movie was previewed during this weekend’s WonderCon and both Gillian Anderson and David Duchovney were there. Suprise! This bootleg video quality is lame, but with people waiting forever for more X-Files…I’m sure you’ll want to see it anyway.

The release for X-Files 2 is now set for July 25, 2008. From the articles I have read, I can tell you that it will be a standalone movie that won’t delve into the complicated government conspiracy stuff the last film explored. It will however, take the complicated relationship Mulder and Scully have in new directions. Hmmm. I wonder what that means!

In case you’re wondering, one of the articles I found said the first X-Files movie made a cool $187 million world-wide at the box office, $83.9 million at home.

I’m not sure how excited I am to see this movie, although I was a huge fan of it when it was on TV. I’ll wait until I start seeing trailers for it.
